Roots and Wings: Fairy Houses
Saturday, October 6, 2018 @ 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
FreeThe Medford Family Network strives to give children the roots to grow and the wings to fly! In October, MFN is presenting a four-part Play and Learn Group series for children ages 3 to 6 that focuses on creating take-home works of art using science, technology, engineering and math. All events include circle time, story time, and music and movement activities.
Here are the themes for the four workshops (all from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Medford Family Network):
October 6: Fairy Houses. Where do fairies come from? What can they do? Come learn the answers to those questions and more, and make your own fairy house!
October 13: Kites Fly. Come explore the different parts of a kite, and design, build, and fly your own kite!
October 20: Tree to Bird Sculptures. What do birds eat? Where do they live? Come learn the answer to those questions and more, and make your own bird house!
October 27: Autumn Leaves. Why do leaves change colors in the fall? Come learn the answer to that question and others, and make your own leaf collage.
Registration is required (three workshops maximum per child) by calling 781-393-2106.
This event is part of Arts Across Medford, a month-long festival curated by CACHE.
