The Medford Council on Aging presents its weekly Country Line Dancing class for seniors, beginners and beyond, led by Julie Kaufmann. Country line dancing is a fantastic activity for older adults. It offers a fun way to stay active, improve coordination, and socialize. It's also easy to learn — many dances are designed to be simple and repetitive, making them accessible for beginners. No partner is needed for the class. Cost is $3.

The Medford Public Library introduces an Advanced Crochet Club for teens in middle school and high school. This club is open to teens who already know the basics of crocheting: slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, etc. If you don't recognize or know how to do those stitches, try the library's Beginners Teen Crochet Club that meets on the second Thursday of the month. Arts Collaborative Medford is hosting a two-day Welt Felting Workshop led by Chelsea Brown of Kēkii Crafts. Over two 2.5-hour classes tonight and Thursday night, January 30, students will learn how to wet felt their very own wearable mittens. Techniques include wet felting over a resist, as well as a working knowledge of common wool fiber types, and wet felting with effects fibers such as silk, viscose and bamboo.
