The Medford Public Library invites kids ages 8 and up to swing by the Makerspace in the new Charlotte & William Bloomberg building and test out something new or work on a project of your own. A staff member will be on hand to help but it is your design time. Children are required to have an adult or guardian with them during this drop-in time.

Many senior citizens live alone. Receiving a handmade card could really brighten their day. The Medford Family Network invites parents of children ages 2 to 8 to attend this card-making session hosted by Miss Andrea Breen. It's never too early to help children be a part of something bigger than themselves. Register upon arriving. A second card-making session will take place on Wednesday, December 7, from 2 to 3 p.m., at the MFN Family Center.

Rachel Drislane and Megan Ziembowicz, students in the Tufts University Doctorate of Occupational Therapy program, are facilitating a crafts program for seniors at the Medford Senior Center. Have fun, be creative, and take home a seasonal craft. Classes cost $3 (for materials); pay at the door with cash or check. Registration is required for each class; sign up at the Senior Center or call 781-396-6010.

Walt Disney wanted to use live animals on the Jungle Cruise at the Magic Kingdom, but it was impractical. Animal Kingdom allowed to company to realize Walt’s vision for live animal attractions.
