The Medford duo of clarinetist/composer Glenn Dickson and poet Vijaya Sundaram combine their arts for “Dreams & Meditations,” a captivating performance of words and sound at the West Medford Community Center. Dickson has had a varied career playing klezmer, jazz, rock, Balkan and ambient music. During much of the COVID-19 pandemic, he performed dozens of “Dreams & Meditations” programs online, offering meditative and cathartic, pensive and emotional music that expanded the warm sounds of the clarinet with live digital processing. A native of India, Sundaram has lived in the Boston area for over 30 years. She is a poet, singer-songwriter, guitarist and writer who taught eighth-grade English at a local public school for 17 years. Presented free with support from the Medford Arts Council.
