Ethan Robbins at Mrs. Murphy’s Pub
Boston-based guitar and mandolin player Ethan Robbins, leader of the Americana band Cold Chocolate, returns to Mrs. Murphy's Pub to kick off today's live music. Following Robbins will be The Black Velvet Trio at 4 p.m. Also note that today and Monday, St. Patrick's Day, Mrs. Murphy's opens two hours earlier than normal, at 9 a.m.

Led by Tim Quinn, the Black Velvet Trio boasts a large and diverse musical repertoire, featuring all sorts of Celtic music — pub music, rebel tunes, well-known Irish standards, singalongs, and traditional reels — from every part of Ireland.

Mrs. Murphy's Pub begins a full day of St. Patrick's Day music with Eamonn Sheehan presenting a lively performance of authentic tunes from the Emerald Isle. Today's lineup also includes Corin Ashley at 3:30 p.m. and Sammy Wetstein at 8 p.m. Also note that Mrs. Murphy's opens two hours earlier than normal today, at 9 a.m.

Mrs. Murphy's St. Patrick's Day music continues with singer/songwriter Corin Ashley taking the mic. Ashley led Boston mod-pop heroes The Pills in the 2000s and was touring bass player for seminal chamber-pop band Cardinal. He recovered from a 2016 stroke to record the album "Broken Biscuits" as well as return to performing live. Today's music will conclude with multi-instrumentalist Sammy Wetstein coming on at 8 p.m.
