The Black Velvet Trio returns to Mrs. Murphy's Pub for an afternoon set. Led by Tim Quinn, the Black Velvet Trio boasts a large and diverse musical repertoire, featuring all sorts of Celtic music — pub music, rebel tunes, well-known Irish standards, singalongs, and traditional reels — from every part of Ireland.  

Mrs. Murphy's Pub begins a full day of St. Patrick's Day music with Eamonn Sheehan presenting a lively performance of authentic tunes from the Emerald Isle. Today's lineup also includes Corin Ashley at 3:30 p.m. and Sammy Wetstein at 8 p.m. Also note that Mrs. Murphy's opens two hours earlier than normal today, at 9 a.m.    

Mrs. Murphy's St. Patrick's Day music continues with singer/songwriter Corin Ashley taking the mic. Ashley led Boston mod-pop heroes The Pills in the 2000s and was touring bass player for seminal chamber-pop band Cardinal. He recovered from a 2016 stroke to record the album "Broken Biscuits" as well as return to performing live. Today's music will conclude with multi-instrumentalist Sammy Wetstein coming on at 8 p.m.
