Arts Collaborative Medford presents its monthly Poetry and Song Open Mic Night, hosted by Medford Poet Laureate Vijaya Sundaram, with guest poet CD Collins. A Kentucky native, Collins was selected as Malden’s inaugural Poet Laureate in 2023. She is the author of “Blue Land,” a collection of short stories; a poetry collection; and “Afterheat,” a novel. She has published short fiction in numerous literary magazines. Her first album, “Kentucky Stories,” won Best Spoken-Word album at the Boston Poetry Awards. Poets, dreamers, and songwriters are invited to bring an original poem, story, or song to read or sing.
