Medford Eats! Food Festival

Saturday, September 1, 2018 @ 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The Medford Community Coalition invtes you to Medford Eats!, celebrating the diverse and delicious eateries in the city. Listen to local bands, try some local beer, and enjoy tasty food from featured restaurants and food trucks in Medford.

To kick off the event, join a parade through Medford Square led by New Orleans style brass band, Occasional Brass.  Wear colorful clothing, costumes, funny hats and silly accessories for the festive march down to City Hall.  (Gather in the front of the Medford Public Library starting at 3:15.)

Medford Eats! is open to all who want to experience Medford’s diverse cultural tastes. Participants can purchase food from any establishment and will find at least one dish for $5 or under at each vendor. Vegetarian options will be available.  The event is open to all ages, with a 21-and-over beer garden featuring local brews, along with wine and cider.

The growing list of participating restaurants include Tenoch, Chicken & Rice Guys, Frozen Hoagies, “Mystic at Night” (a collaboration between Mystic Coffee Roaster and Roving Lunch Box) and Bistro 489, the new restaurant at Medford Vocational Technical High School.

Live music will be provided by rock/blues singer Jennifer Truesdale and her band. All attendees are invited to participate in a Community Arts Project with MARV (Medford Art Resource Vehicle).

The event is produced by the Medford Community Coalition and sponsored by Wegmans, Members Plus Credit Union, Re/Max Andrew Realty, Brookline Bank, Tufts University and the City of Medford, along with generous grants from ArtsAlive Medford Foundation, the Tufts Neighborhood Service Fund and the Medford Arts Council.
