New York City rock band Lizzie & The Makers make their Medford debut at The Porch. Singer-songwriter Lizzie Edwards, whose influences range from Kate Bush and Ann Peebles to Lynyrd Skynyrd and Gregg Allman, formed the band in 2011 with lead guitarist Greg McMullen. The Makers are rounded out by seasoned sidemen with prodigious résumés: bassist Brett Bass (Gregg Allman, Bernie Worrell); drummer Steve Williams (Sadé, Digable Planets); and keyboard player Rob Clores (Black Crowes, John Popper Band).
