The Kalliope Reed Quintet invites you to an inspiring evening of music at First Baptist Church of Medford celebrating our planet. This special Earth Day-inspired program features environmentally themed works by Becky Turro, Alyssa Morris, and Nubia Jaime Donjuan, culminating in the world premiere of “Our World Handbook” by Yangfan Xu. As Kalliope honors the beauty of nature through music, this concert will also support the Mystic River Watershed Association.

The Kalliope Reed Quintet, the first professional reed quintet in New England, is led by founder and artistic director Natalie Zemba on bassoon. Other members are Anna Bradford on oboe, Celine Ferro on clarinet,  Amy Advocat on bass clarinet, and Bennett Parsons on saxophone.
