Inspired by the work of contemporary artist Mark Bradford, students will explore texture as they construct and deconstruct thickly layered abstract collages. Artists will gain exposure to a variety of media including bleeding tissue paper, gloss medium, yarn, craft items, dimensional paint, and various recycled materials.
WEEK 1: Collage with recycled paper
WEEK 2: 3D Relief & tape
WEEK 3: Yarn & bleeding tissue
WEEK 4: Deconstruction
WEEK 5: Dimensional paint
WEEK 6: Embellishment
