Blvck Hippie at Deep Cuts
Blvck Hippie (pronounced Black Hippie), a Black-fronted sad boy band out of Memphis, makes their Medford debut at Deep Cuts. Their genre is post punk, indie rock and VHS rock. Josh Shaw is lead vocalist and a guitarist, with Tyrell Williams on bass guitar and Casey Rittinger on drums. Doors open at 7 p.m. with music at 8. The City of Medford begins its free Condon Shell Summer Concert series with the vintage rock band Say Darling. Founded by old friends Celia Woodsmith and Chris Hersch, Say Darling evokes the funky drive of Little Feat, the moving vocals of Bonnie Raitt, and the instrumental prowess of the Tedeschi-Trucks Band.
