The Medford Council on Aging presents its weekly art class for seniors led by Tom Wojciechowski, a visual artist who works in a variety of media including installation, painting, photography and books. You will build skills and techniques each week and try out various processes that help you experiment and find joy in art and image making. Call the Senior Center at 781-396-6010 to reserve your seat or to get information on how to join the class via Zoom.

Art Smart for School-Aged Children

Family Maker Night

The Medford Public Library invites kids ages 8 to 12, accompanied by an adult, to come to the Maker Space and test out something new or work on a project of your own. The Medford Council on Aging presents its weekly Ballroom and Latin Dancing Class at the Medford Senior Center. In this fun and high-energy class, you will have a great workout, meet new friends, and learn some of the most popular Latin American dances such as Salsa, Merengue, Rumba, Cha-cha, etc. No partner and no experience necessary. Note: There will be no class on Friday, May 24. Supported in part by a grant from the Medford Arts Council.

Kids’ Art Brunch at The Ford

The Ford Tavern is hosting its monthly Kids Art Brunch. For $15 per child, kids receive a brunch meal, juice, and a dessert, plus an art project led by teacher Sabrina Huether. The event is aimed toward kids age 4 to 10. There will be two seatings, at 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., and at 1 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. Register children through Eventbrite for the 10:30 a.m. session or the 1 p.m. session.

The class includes both beginner (newer dancers) and improver (experienced dancers) lessons each week. No partner is needed, nor any previous experience. Cost is $3 per class.
