Join the Medford Public Library for an evening of Blackout Poetry. Poetry is everywhere — coiled and simmering in our typical language, it’s a art form that everyone has access to: at least, in theory. In practice, many people feel distanced from poetry, feeling it too difficult or lofty for them to write, or even to read. Through found and blackout poetry, however, everyone can craft poetry! In this one-hour class, participants will learn about and create poetry based on instructor-provided materials, and discuss their poetry with their fellow poets.
