Tufts University continues its Sunday Concert Series with the Tufts Wind Ensemble presenting the program “Mid-Century Modern.” The post-World War II era saw music for bands take off as a group of young American composers wrote pieces for schools, colleges, and professional groups that continue to be the heart of the repertoire today. The Tufts Wind Ensemble, directed by John McCann, will perform a collection of these works by Walter Piston, Vincent Persichetti, William Schuman and Howard Hanson.
