The Medford Public Library presents the third meeting of its new Teen Poetry Club led by Vijaya Sundaram, Medford’s poet laureate. Students in middle school and high school are invited to take the mic and shine a light on the issues that matter most to you, with passion, lyricism and force. The club will meet once a month to read and discuss the work of great poets, while crafting and performing members’ own work. Participants also will read, memorize, and recite poems you love; explore the beauty and magic of language; discuss poetic structure: forms, meter, rhyme, imagery; write and perform your own poetry; and enjoy videos and special guests.
