John Dalton’s Spheres of Influence returns to Arts Collaborative Medford for the program Indigo Skyline: Reflections on Nature, featuring a set of original compositions inspired by the natural world. Performing for Spheres of Influence will be band leader John Dalton (drums), Erik Van Dam (saxophones), Jim Robitaille (guitar), Jonathan Fagan (piano) and Evan Palmer (bass). Their concert will begin at 7:15 p.m., but arrive early for a pre-concert discussion starting at 6:30 on various methodologies of composition, improvisation, performance and how they can be used to express and reflect the beauty of that natural world. This is a free community event with a suggested donation of $15, which will go directly toward the musicians participating in this program. Presented in partnership with the Medford Jazz Festival, Medford Arts Council, and Arts Collaborative Medford.
