Mystic Makerspace presents a class on basic needle felting, with participants making Mother’s Day floral pins. Create a gift for yourself or a special mom in your life with a few simple needle felting supplies. The class will focus on creating floral Mother’s Day pins, but you can use the skills you’ll learn to make all sorts of 2D and 3D items. You will need needle felting needles; wool (roving or batting) in your choice of colors; a pin back (a large safety pin will do); and a felting surface (a foam block or an old pillow). All materials can be bought through Amazon or most craft stores. If you’re local, you can also arrange to pick up a kit from the class instructor in Medford. After you register, you will get information about how to pick up a free kit.
