Monoprinting Workshop

Saturday, February 21 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
$55

A monoprint is a produced by using various tools, (Q-tips, cotton balls, rags) to remove ink that has been applied on a plexiglass plate to create an image. This is referred to as a reductive process. A sheet of card stock is then placed over the plate and run through a drum press. In this workshops, you’ll be given all the tools and supplies needed to produce a monoprint. Participants are asked to bring in a reference of images they wish to produce. An 8×10 print is preferable but not mandatory. A high contrast image with dramatic shadows works best. Subject matter can include, but is not limited to: people, animals, and landscapes. You do not need previous monoprinting experience to sign up!
