Week 16 of the Medford Farmers Market will feature live music by Ian Coss from 3 to 5 p.m. and Scratch from 5 to 7 p.m. Coss is pursuing a PhD in ethnomusicology at Boston University, where he lectures on a wide range of music topics including  Indonesian gamelan. Under a Darmasiswa Fellowship, he conducted a year of studies in Indonesian traditional music on the island of Bali that led to several collaborative performances. Scratch is a classic rock band composed of faculty members and students associated with Tufts University.
