Cyanotypes On Fabric
Explore cyanotype beyond paper and into textiles in this hands-on workshop focused on printing on fabric! During this class, students will learn the cyanotype process through hands-on experiments starting on paper and small fabric samples, building an understanding of exposure, composition, and material differences. Then we’ll transition into larger and wearable fabrics, using textiles participants bring from home and provided objects, such as clothing, tote bags, and bandanas, to create functional, one-of-a-kind blue prints! This workshop is beginner friendly and perfect for anyone interested in alternative photography, surface design, or wearable art. Students will leave with multiple test prints/patches and at least two finished fabric pieces that are ready to wear!
