
Cambridge Chamber Singers Concert
The Cambridge Chamber Singers is pleased to present a concert of Colonial, Romantic, jazz and contemporary music reflecting the wonderful variety that American music has to offer in “The American Patchwork: 250 Years of Choral Music”.
The program includes works by Justin Morgan (who “had a horse”) and the maverick Charles Ives, as well as a representative spiritual, Keep Your Hand on that Plow, Hold On. The jazz set includes Gershwin’s Summertime, Jerome Kern’s All the Things You Are, and the toe-tapping Tuxedo Junction. The program is culminated by Samuel Barber’s masterful, moving Agnus Dei.
