After a two-year hiatus, the Medford-Brooks Estate Land Trust (M-BELT) is holding its popular summer picnic on the grounds of the historic Brooks Estate. The event includes tours of the Shepherd Brooks Manor, food, M-BELT’s famous raffle, and other fun. M-BELT supplies the hot dogs, burgers/veggie burgers and soft drinks. Guests are welcome to bring one of the following (chips/snacks, salad, cookies, grill item or other picnic food) but bringing food is NOT required to attend.

The Brooks Estate is a city-owned environmental and historical treasure in West Medford that offers Brooks Pond and 50 acres of open space for birds, wildlife and nature lovers. As the manager, M-BELT has spearheaded the protection and restoration of the property, which includes the 1880 Manor and Carriage House. These Victorian gems are under renovation as community assets.
