Kids Cricut T-Shirt Workshop
The Medford Public Library invites kids ages 8 to 12 to level up their T-shirt making skills by creating their own one-of-a-kind T-shirt using the library's Cricut heat press and infusible ink markers. All supplies will be provided by the library. Space is limited, and registration is required through the library's online calendar so the library can make sure to have the right size shirt for everyone, as this process does not work without a specific type of shirt. The McGlynn Middle School invites the community to its special showcase of student talent. Titled "Art is for Everyone," every McGlynn student will have art on display. There also will be live music performances by McGlynn students. Funds for this project have been donated by Cummings Foundation, the Mystic Valley Public Health Coalition, and the Medford Arts Council.

The Medford Public Library is co-sponsoring an online chat with romance author Camilla Evergreen, whose book “How to Find Love When You’re Weird” makes it clear that people on the spectrum,(in fact, ALL people), are worthy of love and an HEA (happily ever after). In fact, the library would posit, that it’s the very neurodiverse characteristics that make someone even more attractive to the right person. Medford High School opens its AP Art Exhibit, which will be on display weekdays during school hours from today through Wednesday, May 29. Also on display, in the main lobby, will be the Senior Portfolio Exhibit for Stella Heinegg, whose recently won three honors in the Boston Globe Scholastic Art Awards.

Middle School Chameleon, the Medford Public Library’s drop-in group for LGBTQIAP+ youth and allies in grades 6 to 8, meets in Bonsignore Hall. Today's topic is LGBTQIA+ mental health. With a focus on a different theme each month, come chat, connect, do fun projects, and play games in a safe, open, and welcoming space. No one is required to disclose any aspect of their identity in order to be part of the group.
