Heavy Necker at The Porch

Peabody rock trio Heavy Necker returns to The Porch where it first performed in 2019. Their tight turning mixture combines influences from jazz, blues, poetry, and soul while honoring the ages of hard-hipped guitar driven music through modern personalities. Middle School No-Book Book Club

The Medford Public Library's Middle School No-Book Book Club meets in the Maker Space at the Charlotte & William Bloomberg Library building. There are no assigned books for this book club, which is for teens in grades 6 to 8. Instead, the group will talk about whatever you’re currently reading and share book recs while working on something crafty. No sign-up is required; just drop in. Andrew Gravel is a musician, singer, guitarist and songwriter best known as the founding member of the Boston-based rock band The Gravel Project. Carrying on the tradition of blues and '70s psychedelic rock music, Gravel returns to The Porch to perform both original music and classics by artists including The Allman Brothers, Jimi Hendrix, Jeff Beck, B.B. King, Albert King, Freddie King, and Eric Clapton. Free admission for the music; table reservations recommended if you plan to have dinner.
