After headlining the Great American Beer Hall's New Year's Eve and St. Patrick's Day parties, country singer/songwriter Maddi Ryan and her band return to rock the hall. A rising star from Methuen, Ryan is known for her heartfelt lyrics and powerful vocals. Country 102.5 says she is “as tall as Taylor and has a voice that booms like Ballerini."    

The Tufts Sunday Concert Series concludes its 2024-25 season with the Tufts Youth Philharmonic Orchestra performing its final concert of the school year, under the direction of John Page. The Brooklyn band Worriers, led by songwriter Lauren Denitzio, headlines at Deep Cuts. They've toured with acts like John K Samson, Against Me!, Julien Baker, Anti Flag, The Wonder Years, and more. Cab Ellis, known for their uninhibited, intoxicating live performances on the New York alt rock scene, makes their Deep Cuts debut. Frontman Connor Abeles is backed by an army of six jazz musicians. Brooklyn-based indie-rock band Pan Arcadia opens. Tickets are $13 in advance, $15 show day through Dice.  

Medford Brewing Company welcomes Seven Times Salt for an evening of familiar Renaissance tunes and English country dances, and of course  your favorite 17th-century drinking songs. Raise your glass and voice and sing along! Seven Times Salt members are Karen Burciaga, violin, guitar, voice; Corey Dalton Hart, tenor, recorder; Emily O’Brien, recorder, flute, voice; Josh Schreiber, bass viol, voice; and Matthew Wright, lute, cittern, voice. The Medford Public Schools' spring concert series begins with a performance by the grades 6 through 12 orchestra at Marsha Caron Theater at Medford High School. Admission is $5. Upcoming concerts will feature the grades 6 through 12 band at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, and the grades 4 and 5 band/orchestra at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 22, both at the Caron Theater.  

The Irish music trio Fódhla brings their high energy and stellar artistry to the stage at Arts Collaborative Medford. Fódhla sound is firmly rooted in the traditional Irish melodies and ornamentation that fiddler Ellery Klein, of Medford, and flute player Nicole Rabata honed during years spent abroad in Ireland’s cities Cork, Limerick and Ennis.
