Join us  for a special poetry reading presented by Medford’s Poet Laureate, Max Heinegg, featuring two extraordinary and celebrated voices in contemporary American poetry.

Alfred Corn is the author of eleven poetry collections, two novels, and several acclaimed books of essays and prosody—including The Poem’s Heartbeat—and his distinguished career has been honored with fellowships from the Guggenheim Foundation, the NEA, and the Academy of American Poets.

Joining him is Jill McDonough, a three-time Pushcart Prize winner, Guggenheim and Lannan fellow, and author of collections such as American Treasure and Reaper. She is a professor at UMass Boston who has taught college courses in prisons for over two decades, her work blends fierce intellect, humor, and deep civic witness.
