Bilingual Celebration of the Day of the Dead
Join us for a bilingual (English and Spanish) event to celebrate the Day of the Dead!
Are you ready to celebrate the life of your loved ones that are not anymore with you physically, but they will always be in your heart and memories? Come to learn about this lovely Mexican Tradition by setting an Altar (Ofrenda) with colorful flowers, food, candles, pictures, and drinks.
Feel free to bring a picture of your loved one.
By learning a song in Spanish, you will learn more about this Tradition. The audience will sing by using elements such as candles, flowers, pictures, pretending food, skulls, and more. Make your own Altar (Ofrenda) by coloring, cutting and pasting. You can bring it home! Learn about the important meaning of the Monarch Butterflies during this Holiday. Finally, we dance a song with colorful ribbons adding balls in the parachute for a Super Fun Grand Finale. Sample pan de muerto, a delicious celebratory treat.
All levels of Spanish are welcome to join us.
