The Porch Southern Fare & Juke Joint at River’s Edge presents a free Valentine’s Day night performance by indie soul songstress Jill McCracken. McCracken’s songs catch the ear as pop tunes, touching heavily on classic soul and Motown influences, but a closer listen reveals these aren’t as simple as ABC, 123; conflict lies just beneath the surface, as McCracken’s sweet and savory lyrics attest.
