Halloween Pumpkin and Lantern Display
As an alternative to trick-or-treating this Halloween season, the City of Medford is inviting residents to use their creative talents to decorate pumpkins and lanterns, which will be displayed in an around Wright's Pond in illuminated evening showings on Thursday, October 29, and Friday, October 30, from 6 to 8 p.m. To ensure your pumpkin will float, the city recommends decorating a "sugar" or "pie" pumpkin about 6 to 8 inches in size. Night Under 10,000 Lights
For the first time, Friends of the Medford Family Network is holding its annual fundraising gala outdoors, at Wright's Pond. "Night Under 10,000 Lights" will be an adults-night-out event featuring food catered by Simple Fare, music and dancing with the Mancini Project, as well as raffles, gift bags and auction, all in support of the Medford Family Network. Outdoor Movie: SpongeBob: Sponge Out of Water
The Medford Recreation Department concludes its summer outdoor movie series with a showing of "The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge Out of Water" at Wright's Pond. The movie will begin at 8 p.m., but come an hour earlier for Pirate Day activities beginning at 7 (no pond pass required). The movie is free and no registration is required. Please bring a blanket, drinks, and bug spray. No alcohol permitted.
