Sarah Bradlee Fulton Statue Benefit

Wednesday, May 21 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm

Looking Back at Medford History, Inc., is presenting an event at the library to raise funds for its ongoing project to commission and install a bronze statue of Sarah Bradlee Fulton, the Revolutionary War heroine from Medford, at City Hall. The nonprofit organization has raised about one-half of the needed funds and has hired sculptor Robert Shure of Skylight Studios in Waltham to create the statue. He will bring a 24-inch clay rendering of the statue tonight. Anthony Sammarco, a noted historian, lecturer, and author of more than 60 books on the history and development of Boston, will be the featured speaker, delivering a talk on Fulton. There will be a silent auction, and refreshments. Tax-deductible donations for the Fulton statue may be made through the Looking Back at Medford History website.
