The Medford Recreation Department begins its summer outdoor movie series with a showing of the 2023 musical fantasy comedy “Wonka” at the Condon Shell. The movie (1 hour, 57 minutes) will begin at 8:30 p.m., but come an hour earlier as the Rec Department will have music and lawn games set up in the field, along with free popcorn. Please bring a blanket, drinks, and bug spray. No alcohol permitted. Other films in the series will be “Big Hero 6” on Sunday, August 4, at Tufts Park, and “Pirates of the Caribbean” on Friday, August 16, at Wright’s Pond.
