
Library Celebration: 150 Years on High Street

The Medford Public Library Foundation Board of Directors invites you to the Charlotte & William Bloomberg Medford Public Library to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the library at its current location on High Street. The Medford Public Library was established in 1855 and has served as a pillar of the Medford community since its founding. In 1875, the original library moved to the Magoun Mansion at 117 High Street. In 1960, a new library was built, and in 2021, construction of the Charlotte & William Bloomberg Medford Public Library was completed. Today, the library welcomes more than 220,000 visitors per year and serves patrons from 0 to 102+ years of age with over 1,400 programs annually. RSVP through the foundation website.
