All are invited to the City of Medford’s Juneteenth flag raising and celebration on the front lawn at Medford City Hall. Juneteenth, now a federal holiday, commemorates the emancipation of American slaves in the last Confederate territory of the U.S. on June 19, 1865 in Galveston, Texas. Th The program will include live music by the Willie Laws Band, the drum duo of Nicholas Karinge and Stacey Moore, poetry by Medford Poet Laureate Vijaya Sundaram, and more.
