In collaboration with the West Medford Community Center, the City of Medford will conduct a Juneteenth flag raising at Medford City Hall. Juneteenth, now a federal holiday, commemorates the emancipation of American slaves in the last Confederate territory of the U.S. on June 19, 1865 in Galveston, Texas. The West Medford Community Center’s Juneteenth Celebration will take place on Saturday, June 17 (details to be announced).
