Jacinda Ardern: A Different Kind of Power

Sunday, June 1 @ 3:00 pm

$53.50

Chevalier Theatre welcomes former New Zealand prime minister Jacinda Ardern for a talk on her memoir, “A Different Kind of Power,” being released this week by Penguin Random House. In January 2017, Ardern was elected the 40th prime minister of New Zealand at age 37, becoming the youngest to hold that post in more than 150 years. She held the post until January 2023, exemplifying a new kind of leadership — proving that leaders can be caring, empathetic, and effective. After becoming a global icon, she’s ready to share the remarkable story of how a Mormon girl plagued by self-doubt made political history and changed our assumptions of what a global leader can be. Joined by special guests, Ardern will reflect on the struggles, triumphs, and deeply personal experiences that shaped her leadership style and what she’s learned along the way. Tickets are $53.50 and include a signed copy of “A Different Kind of Power.” Order through the Chevalier Theatre website/Ticketmaster, or fee-free at the Chevalier Box Office, which is open on Fridays and Saturdays from noon to 6 p.m., as well as two hours before every Chevalier show.
