Monday, May 12 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm
FreeDiamondTale Consulting begins a series of Haitian Heritage Month events with a library program, Sickle Cell & Thalassemia Awareness: Understanding, Managing, and Thriving. The interactive presentation will provide high-level educational information about sickle cell disease, causes, symptoms, treatment options, and lifestyle strategies for thriving beyond diagnosis. Register through Eventbrite.
DiamondTale, led by Medford resident Georgiana Chevry, will return to the library on Monday, May 19, for a screening and discussion of the film “1904: The Hidden History of Haiti,” as well as a bilingual storytime (Haitian Creole and English), part of DiamondTale’s Haitian Family Read taking place all month in conjunction with the library.
The Haitian Heritage Month events are part of DiamondTale Consulting’s Corporate Social Responsibility commitment to cultural awareness, education, and community well-being.
