The Medford Chess Club invites you to its weekly meet-up in Medford Square, taking place today at Colleen’s Ice Cream & Sandwich Shop rather than at the library, due to the Friends of the Medford Public Library’s Winter Book Sale. The club has chess sets, chess clocks, and helpful members who are willing to teach you the rules if you’re new to the game. Players of all ages and skill levels are welcome, but those under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult or mature older sibling. There are no membership dues or fees to play.
