Author Talk: Robin DiAngelo – White Fragility in America

Monday, March 4, 2019 @ 5:45 pm - 7:30 pm

Free

White people in the U.S. live in a racially insular social environment, which lowers their stamina for enduring racial stress and triggers defensive responses that inhibit productive discussion. Join Dr. Robin DiAngelo, author of “White Fragility in America,” and journalist and educator Dr. Jack Hill for a conversation about what inculcates white fragility and what perspectives and skills white people need to build their racial stamina. This session may also benefit underrepresented communities who wonder why white people are so difficult to talk to about racism.

This is an open and free event, but tickets are required and only 350 are available. Tickets for the public will be available starting February 25 at 10:30 a.m. Reserve tickets online at  TuftsTickets.com.

Presented by the Tisch College of Civic Life at Tufts University.
