ACM Poetry Salon: 20th Century Voices
Arts Collaborative Medford invites you to a Poetry Salon hosted by Gary Roberts, a poet and co-founder of ACM, as part of the collaborative's literary arts initiative. Learn about modern poetry with short poems from some of the most celebrated writers of the 20th century. Emphasis will be given to poets who bore witness to social upheaval and shaped modern literature with their responses to historical events. Moon and Back Bookstore presents a storytime with local author Rachel C. Katz, sharing her new book "Rise Up! Powerful Protests in American History." A bold, energetic nonfiction picture book, "Rise Up!" introduces young readers to more than two dozen moments of protest, resistance, and revolution in American history through rhythmic, lyrical text and vibrant illustrations inspired by protest art. Monday Morning Mysteries: The Mystery Guest
