The Medford Public Library invites you to the monthly meeting of its Poetry Club led by Vijaya Sundaram, the City of Medford's poet laureate. The group meets on the fourth Friday to read and discuss the work of great poets, while crafting and performing participants' own work. The Medford Public Library presents an online program with author, professor and historian Kathleen DuVal to discuss her book, “Native Nations: A Millennium in North America.” Called "an essential American history" by The Wall Street Journal, the book places the power of Native nations at its center, telling their story from the rise of ancient cities more than a thousand years ago to fights for sovereignty that continue today.
