The Medford Public Library is co-sponsoring a virtual visit with Caitlin Cass, author of “Suffrage Song: The Haunted History of Gender, Race and Voting Rights in the U.S.” Part graphic novel, part map of the suffrage movement, this book tells the story of the fight for the right to vote by women from the very beginning. The Medford Public Library's LGBTQ+ Book Group meets to discuss "Untamed" by Glennon Doyle, part of the city's Pride Month programs. Books will be available approximately four weeks in advance. The New England Innocence Project and the Medford Public Library are teaming up to honor the mothers who have supported, loved, and struggled for their dear sons and daughters behind bars. All are welcome to attend this event, inspired by Jean Trounstine’s new book "Motherlove," which includes 10 short stories, each about a mother coping with the aftermath of her teen killing another teen.
