Storytime with Hannah Moushabeck
The Medford Public Library presents Storytime with Hannah Moushabeck for kids ages 5 and up and their families. Moushabeck is a second-generation Palestinian-American editor and book publisher, and the author of the picture book "Homeland: My Father Dreams of Palestine." She will read her book, share stories about her family and homeland of Palestine, and lead a craft activity. The Tufts Department of Theatre, Dance, and Performance Studies presents a talk with Marwan Kaabour, author of "The Queer Arab Glossary," the first published collection of queer Arabic slang. An independent graphic designer and visual artist from Beirut, Kaabour currently lives and works in London. The program promises to be a lively conversation about language, sexuality, creativity, and pleasure. Free and open to the public.
