Sensory Storytime
The Medford Public Library presents Sensory Storytime for ages 3 to 7. Explore stories, music, movement, and play in a sensory-friendly and adaptive setting. This storytime is for everyone, but is particularly designed for neurodiverse children — children who are on the autism spectrum, have sensory processing challenges, ADHD, or have difficulty sitting through our other storytimes. Registration is required through the library's online calendar.

The Medford Public Library hosts its monthly Play Dough Club for ages 2 to 5. Why play dough? Playing with play dough helps young kids develop their hand-eye coordination, creativity, and fine-motor and literacy skills. And sharing tools and colors of dough helps littles with their social skills, too. The library will provide the dough and tools; all you need to bring is your imagination. The Medford Public Library presents family story time for ages 3 to 7. The session will explore new concepts with books and songs. Parents and caregivers are welcome to join in. After story time, a short craft or activity will be held in the same space.

Join Toddler Time at the Medford Public Library and read some excellent books, sing songs, and learn gentle movement activities. Story time is 30 minutes long and geared toward children ages 2-3. After stories and songs, all are invited to join a mini-play group too.

Find out more »Haitian Heritage Month: Create Your Own Haitian Art
The City of Medford continues its series of Haitian Heritage Month events with a workshop at the Medford Family Network to Create Your Own Haitian Art with Medford artist Sarah Beardslee of Beads by Beardslee. The series concludes this afternoon with a Haitian Flag Day Celebration from 3 to 5 p.m. at Andrews Middle School. The series is a collaboration between the City of Medford’s Health Department, the Medford Family Network, Medford Public Library, and DiamondTale Consulting Inc.
