The Tufts Department of Music and Tufts University Art Galleries are hosting experimental musician and exhibiting artist C. Spencer Yeh for his first Boston-area performance in a decade. Presented in conjunction with the current TUAG exhibition "Impossible Music," Yeh will perform improvisations on violin, voice, and electronics in Distler Hall. Sanctuary and Hillside churches present an Art and Soul Circle program based on "The Threads That Tie Us," an exhibition on view at Arts Collaborative Medford through March 28. The exhibition disrupts traditional notions of textiles by engaging embroidery, quilting, tufting, weaving, and other fabric-based practices as contemporary tools for addressing social issues and reclaiming histories.
