Feeling fidgety? Attend this Medford Public Library workshop for adults on how to make a thaumatrope, or a spinning optical illusion, and create your very own optical illusion fidget toy. The thaumatrope optical toy was popular in the 19th century. A disk with a picture on each side is attached to two pieces of string. Arts Collaborative Medford is hosting The Banners Project: A Sewing Circle, led by the Green Cambridge program Cambridge Wildlife Arts. The Medford Public Library hosts its Advanced Crochet Club for teens in middle school and high school. This club is open to teens who already know the basics of crocheting: slip stitch, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, etc. If you don't recognize or know how to do those stitches, try the library's Beginners Teen Crochet Club that meets on the second Thursday of the month.
