Monday, May 19 @ 5:30 pm - 8:45 pm

Free

The City of Medford’s Haitian Heritage Month events continue with a screening of “1804: The Hidden History of Haiti.” This documentary shows the history of how Haiti won its independence, carrying out the first-ever successful slave rebellion. A discussion will follow moderated by Dr. Kyera Singleton, executive director of the Royall House and Slave Quarters, and Georgiana Chevry, CEO of DiamondTale Consulting. Loretta’s Legacy, an art gallery and home store in Saugus that features items by Haitian artists and makers, will be in-house for the event if anyone is interested in supporting a Haitian business selling arts, gifts, and crafts.
