Art Class for Seniors
The Medford Council on Aging presents its weekly art class for seniors led by Tom Wojciechowski, a visual artist who works in a variety of media including installation, painting, photography and books. Build skills and techniques each week and try out various processes that help you experiment and find joy in art and image making. Call the Senior Center at 781-396-6010 to reserve your seat or to get information on how to join the class via Zoom.

Feeling fidgety? Attend this Medford Public Library workshop for adults on how to make a thaumatrope, or a spinning optical illusion, and create your very own optical illusion fidget toy. The thaumatrope optical toy was popular in the 19th century. A disk with a picture on each side is attached to two pieces of string. Arts Collaborative Medford is hosting The Banners Project: A Sewing Circle, led by the Green Cambridge program Cambridge Wildlife Arts. Inspired by historical and current protest posters, banners, and bedsheet paintings, including the fabric banners of Aram Han Sifuentes and the block print banners of Peter Schumann, Cambridge Wildlife Arts welcomes members of the public to sit around a table and stitch a single embroidered and/or appliquéd banner meant for use in vigils, protests, and parades. The Medford Public Schools' spring concert series continues with a performance by the grades 4 and 5 band at Marsha Caron Theater at Medford High School. Admission is $5. The final concert in the series will feature the grades 4 and 5 orchestra at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, also at the Caron Theater.

Sons Of Levin, a blues-driven jam band led by brothers Dylan and Connor Levinson, provide tonight's live music at the Great American Beer Hall.
