SUMMARY:Lakota YouthStay Youth Photography and Poetry Exhibit
DESCRIPTION:Lakota YouthStay is hosting an exhibit\, “We Are All Related: Photographs and Poems by Lakota and Medford Youth\,” at The Gallery at Sanctuary. Come meet the Native American youth visiting Medford this summer from the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota and see photos taken by them around Boston during the 2023 YouthStay program week. Also featured will be Medford youth and their poems written during a July 14 workshop led by poet Terry E. Carter titled “Let’s Make a Memory: Connecting Community.” Light refreshments will be served. All are welcome. \nThe mission of Lakota YouthStay is to provide cultural exchange opportunities for Native American youth from the Pine Ridge Reservation in South Dakota and to foster authentic\, mutually fulfilling relationships between Lakota youth and non-natives.
