DESCRIPTION:The Medford Public Library invites kids to drop in for its weekly Reading Buddies program. Come practice your reading skills by reading aloud to teen volunteers. Reading Buddies will be available for 30-minute increments and happy to listen to you read whatever book(s) you’d like. DESCRIPTION:The International Brotherhood of Magicians\, Ring 122\, invites the community to Magic in Medford\, a free night of magic at the library. Seven members of the Boston chapter of the IBM will perform tricks and illusions and share how you can become a member of Ring 122 and learn magic. Doors to Bonsignore Hall will open at 6:45 p.m.\, with walkaround magic from 6:45 to 7:15. The magic show will follow from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m. The IBM chapter says the show is its way of thanking the Medford library community. Free tickets should be reserved in advance through Eventbrite to ensure seating. Ring 122 also will present a lecture at the library by UK professional magician Chris Congreave at 7 p.m. on Thursday\, May 15.  \nThe International Brotherhood of Magicians is a nonprofit organization for both professional and amateur close-up and stage magicians\, with approximately 15\,000 members in 300 chapters\, called Rings\, worldwide.
