DESCRIPTION:Kadanz Jazz\, led by Medford guitarist Mark Torgerson\, presents a free concert at the Condon Shell featuring American jazz standards with new twists\, integrating rhythms from French Caribbean traditions\, including zouk and kompa. Torgerson has interest and expertise in world music\, as well as American jazz\, funk and blues\, with over 30 years of performing experience. He’ll be backed by local professional musicians on keyboard\, bass\, sax/flute\, and percussion. Bring a picnic or pick up dinner in Medford Square. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Medford Arts Council. \n
